Mobile Terms Terminology
Day by day mobile terminology changed because of technology. but when purchasing new mobile the terminology is necessary to learn.
Terminology:
Li-ion: lithium ion is used for mobile batteries technology. This technology used for battery life extension, energy density, safety and charging speed.
Li-Poly: lithium polymer is used for mobile batteries technology. Li-Poly gives good battery life and it is light weight and have improved safety.
F/2.2: it was shown in camera specification. If it’s value high, then camera picture produced in high quality.
PPI: pixel per inch. When purchasing mobile must check the ppi number. If ppi number high, the video and image quality having high clarity.
Sensors: Considering sensor aspects is very necessary. Today sensors playing major role in automation.
Network connectivity: Through network connectivity prospects we can find mobile originality and browsing speed.
@ fps(frame per second): Though the human eye can process about 150 frames per second, movies typically display images at 24fps, as that is the frame rate the human eye naturally views the world.
IPS (in-plane-switching): IPS is a screen technology for liquid-crystal-displays (LCDs). This technology designed for better viewing on display.
AMOLED: amoled technology is also designed for good viewing on screen. But compare to ips LCD, it is high cost and a good quality.
Chip (MediaTek): This technology used for reduce the heat when mobile in gaming and browsing.
GPRS(General Packet Radio Service): GPRS is a packet oriented mobile data standard on the 2G and 3G cellular communication network's global system for mobile communications.
EDGE (Enhanced Data for Global Evolution): EDGE nearly 3 times faster speeds than outdated GPRS system and faster with a download speed of up 384kps.
VOOC Charging: Voltage Open Loop Multi-step Constant-Current Charging (VOOC) technology give quick charging to mobile.
Qualcomm Snapdragon: Snapdragon technology used for smartphones and desktops. By using this, system will faster than other. Sometime it generates heat from the device.
Proximity Sensor: this is a sensor. This is able to detect the presence of nearby objects without any physical contact. These are plays role when the time of calling, browsing and other actions.
NFC (Near-field communication): NFC used for communication between two electronic devices over a distance 4 cm or less. It is like hotspot but range behave like Bluetooth.
